A variety of mathematics

About me

Per I am a graduate student in mathematics at Stockholm University.

Teaching

I have previously been involved in teaching at MATH.se, as well as Förberedande kurs i matematik, Matematik för naturvetare, Matematik för samhällsvetare and Slumpmässighet och spel. The fall 2011 I will be occupied teaching Mathematics D (highschool course).

Research

Boris Shapiro is my primary advisor, our latest text can be found on Arxiv here: Discriminants, symmetrized graph monomials, and sums of squares.

I have also done some research at Purdue university together with Andrei Gabrielov. We studied the Schroedinger equation $-y''+P(z)y=0,$ and the connectedness of the associated spectral determinant. This ended up in my licentiate thesis.

Ongoing projects

I am currently working on and off with the following projects:

  1. A collection of examples in Linear Algebra. You can find the current version in the file list.
  2. Flame Fractal program in java.
